About Me

Richard and Family

Story-teller, husband, father and child of God

Hello. My name is Richard Collins and this blog contains a new post EVERY MONDAY. Yes, every Monday. Most of my posts offer thoughts on our human condition and the role of faith in the life of the believer. Since I have a funny bone, if you click on Humour, you’ll find some comedy there. For times when you need to see the lighter side of life.

My special subject is the art of theodicy – making a robust argument for the goodness and justice of God in the face of attacks based on our condition, specifically its pain and suffering. I felt so strongly about this that I wrote a book on the subject.

House of Souls is a novel about human suffering; it’s also a love story. Love and pain, two subjects intricately connected in so many ways. When I find a publisher, you could well find yourself looking for it on Amazon . . . or not.

I have lived in Spain and U.S.A. but right now, I live in Southampton on the south coast of England. Claim to fame? RMS Titanic left from here in March 1912.

Enjoy. But most of all, please share. See down there? ↓↓↓↓ Click away.

Many thanks.

  1. I just stumbled across your blog this morning and very much enjoy your writing style. I’d be interested to read your book when it’s released. On that note, have you considered self-publishing? I finished writing my book last year and I’m currently working on my second. After a copious amount of research, I opted for the self-publishing route for a myriad of reasons. If you are interested in self-publishing and have any questions, please feel free to email me at joyfulness5113@gmail.com. God bless.
